Situated at the north-eastern edge of the southern african highland - the Drakensberge.
Here in the mountains it can be very cold during winter time.
You can follow the Panorama-Route through the amazing landscape. It is one of the most beautiful roads in South Africa.
Within a small area a lot of tourist highlights are waiting for visitors.
So for example Pilgrims Rest, a former gold digger's town, restored a
few years ago and one of the most famous places in the Drakensberge.
Eastwards high cliffs mark the edge of the highland.
Just like here at God's Window, frequently foggy.
The Drakensberge on a clear day - seen from the east.
